On the evening of March 8 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, in coordination with the Central Commission for Communication and Mass Mobilization, the Vietnam Publishing Association, and Vietnam Television, held the ceremony for the 8th National Book Awards of Vietnam. The event honored a number of outstanding works recognized for their academic, intellectual, and cultural value.

As part of the program, GELEX Group joined as a partner of this year’s Awards, contributing to the promotion of knowledge, encouraging creativity, and honoring the meaningful contributions of authors, translators, and publishing professionals to the country’s cultural and intellectual life.

Ms. Nguyễn Thị Hồng Nhung, Director of Communications at GELEX Group, received a certificate of recognition for GELEX’s partnership with the 8th National Book Awards.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year’s Awards prioritized book collections with lasting value and meaningful contributions to the intellectual and cultural life of the community. In total, 50 outstanding books and book series were honored, including 2 A Prizes, 17 B Prizes, and 23 C Prizes, along with several Encouragement Awards and the Reader’s Favorite Book Award.

Authors and representatives of organizations whose works received the A Prize at the 8th National Book Awards were honored during the ceremony.

Held annually since 2018, the National Book Awards of Vietnam has steadily established itself as one of the country’s most prestigious honors in the publishing sector. Beyond recognizing works of outstanding value in thought, scholarship, culture, science, and the arts, the Awards also encourage the continued dedication of those contributing to the creation and dissemination of knowledge.

Over the years, the National Book Awards have become an important milestone in Vietnam’s cultural life. The honored works represent not only rigorous intellectual effort but also reflect the vitality of academic pursuits and the commitment of the people behind the books.

Sharing GELEX’s perspective on supporting the program, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Hồng Nhung noted that within the Group’s long-term sustainable development strategy, knowledge and people are seen as fundamental pillars—not only for business growth but also for the long-term competitiveness of society. Partnering with the National Book Awards reflects GELEX’s commitment to fostering a culture of knowledge, encouraging lifelong learning, and promoting the value of books within the community.

Through meaningful initiatives such as the National Book Awards, GELEX hopes to continue working alongside public institutions, organizations, and the wider community to nurture a culture of reading, celebrate the value of knowledge, and contribute to building a sustainable foundation for society.
