GELEX continues to roll out Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework training at THIBIDI & CFT
Following the successful ERM Framework training held at EMIC in June 2025, GELEX Group’s Risk Management Department continued its efforts by conducting an in-depth training session on the Enterprise Risk Management Framework at Thiết Bị Điện Joint Stock Company (THIBIDI). The session, held on July 12, 2025, brought together members of the Executive Board and management staff from both THIBIDI and Vietnam Copper Wire Company (CFT).
This training is part of GELEX’s broader roadmap to build and implement a unified, consistent ERM system across the Group. In this phase, the Risk Management Department is working closely with member companies through training, consultation, and the provision of guidelines, aiming to raise awareness, strengthen implementation capabilities, and encourage the practical application of ERM across operations.

Designed to help employees at THIBIDI and CFT understand that risk—encompassing both threats and opportunities—is an inherent part of daily work, the training program focused on enabling effective, real-world application of ERM. The curriculum was built around three core components: an overview of enterprise risk management, hands-on exercises, and interdepartmental coordination practices. Together, these aimed to promote a proactive and integrated risk mindset throughout the organization.
Participants were introduced to fundamental ERM concepts and international best practices, alongside GELEX’s own implementation experience. During the practical sessions, managers from THIBIDI and CFT engaged enthusiastically in exercises and shared real-world insights on how risk management has been integrated into their daily business activities. These sessions helped management staff gain an initial grasp of key methods and tools for each step in the ERM process, laying the foundation for applying ERM consistently across their respective value chains.
The project to build and implement GELEX’s ERM Framework is structured into three phases:
- Phase 1: Develop the ERM framework at GELEX Group (Completed in December 2024)
- Phase 2: Develop the ERM framework at CADIVI (Expected completion: August 2025)
- Phase 3: Extend the ERM framework to all remaining member companies across the GELEX system (Implementation schedule will be based on Phase 2 outcomes)
To ensure readiness ahead of Phase 3, the Risk Management Department is holding intensive training sessions for the remaining subsidiaries, helping each unit gradually become familiar with ERM methodologies and best practices.
The training at THIBIDI and CFT once again reaffirmed GELEX’s strong commitment to building solid governance capabilities at all member companies—from leadership to functional management levels. ERM is increasingly recognized as a core competency, driving sustainable growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation for the enterprise.
