On the evening of August 27, GELEX Electric celebrated its 10th anniversary at Fairmont Hanoi under the theme “A Decade of Connection – A Decade of Pioneering.” The celebration brought together leaders from GELEX Group and GELEX Electric, representatives from member companies, and employees from across the business.

The evening began with GELEX Electric CEO Nguyen Trong Trung began by saying thank you.

Rather than turning ten years into a long list of milestones and achievements, the celebration chose to tell the story through the people, moments and emotions that have shaped GELEX Electric into what it is today.

It was a thank-you to the generations of leaders who laid the foundations, to GELEX Group, member companies, partners and customers, and above all, to the people of GELEX Electric who have spent the past decade working, adapting and building the business together.

That spirit of gratitude led the evening back to where it all began, with a special conversation with Nguyen Van Tuan, Chairman of the Board of GELEX Group and the first Chairman of GELEX Electric.

Looking back, what he is most proud of is how GELEX Electric has grown from its beginnings into a strong electrical equipment ecosystem, bringing together established brands, manufacturing capabilities and a growing team. The business has strengthened not only in scale, but also in management and market position. “I have always been proud that GELEX Electric has a stable cash flow and a healthy balance sheet, and that its people, culture and businesses have remained strong”, he shared. “Through different economic cycles and crises, companies including CADIVI, THIBIDI and EMIC, along with many others, have continued to deliver strong business results. GELEX Electric has consistently generated significant cash flow for the Group, helping GELEX pursue its broader ambitions”.

But for him, the first ten years are not the finish line. What he hopes the next generation will do is to build even stronger foundations in people and technology, so that GELEX Electric can go further and achieve more than the generation before it.

That spirit of carrying the journey forward came into sharper focus by Le Ba Tho, Chairman of the Board of GELEX Electric.

GELEX Electric has set its sights on becoming a leading high-tech industrial company by 2030, playing a key role in building a more self-reliant and sustainable national industry. Its mission is clear: “Elevating the quality of life in Vietnam through pioneering technology”.

Getting there will take more than bigger ambitions. It will require new capabilities, new ways of thinking and people who are willing to change in order to deliver different results.

The evening then moved from reflection to celebration, with moments that brought the emotions of the past decade to life. The performance “Thank You, Love” was a tribute to the people who have been part of and continue to shape GELEX Electric’s journey.

This was followed by a moment that brought GELEX Group and its member companies together on stage – not simply to look back at what has been achieved, but to affirm their commitment to what comes next.

 

Le Ba Tho, Chairman of the Board of GELEX Electric, and Do Duy Hung, Member of the Board of GELEX Electric, presented flowers to thank and congratulate GELEX Group’s leadership and representatives of the leadership teams across GELEX Electric’s member companies.

Then came the image of a “new land” – a symbol of the road ahead and the mindset needed for the journey ahead: New Thinking – New Action – New Results. “New People” does not mean a different group of people. It means the people already here, stepping into the next chapter with a different mindset: willing to learn, willing to change, willing to take on difficult challenges and willing to take full responsibility for what they commit to.

As leaders from different generations and representatives from GELEX Electric’s member companies came together for the activation ceremony, the story of the first ten years came to a close – and a new chapter began.
