On February 11, 2025, the People’s Committee of Ly Thai To Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, in collaboration with GELEX Group Joint Stock Company, organized the launch ceremony for the “Tree Planting Festival in Eternal Gratitude to Uncle Ho” on the occasion of the Year of the Snake.

At the launch ceremony, Mr. Vu Tuan Phong – Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ly Thai To Ward noted that the Tree Planting Festival is an essential task to kick off the new year. Through this, the aim is to promote the emulation movement toward achieving the socio-economic development plan, creating a lively competitive atmosphere among organizations, agencies, and units right from the beginning of spring.

The activity “Tree Planting Festival in Eternal Gratitude to Uncle Ho” is held annually in Ly Thai To Ward not only to plant more trees but also to strongly spread the awareness of environmental protection within the community. Each person, each household is encouraged to contribute by transforming balconies and street corners into green spaces, leading to a greener and more beautiful Ly Thai To Ward, and a cleaner capital overall, reducing pollution and improving air quality.

The leadership of the Party Committee and the People’s Committee of Ly Thai To Ward, along with representatives of GELEX Group, engaged in tree planting, with the hope of spreading environmental protection awareness throughout the community.

Previously, GELEX Group and its member companies have actively implemented numerous tree planting programs across the country. Thousands of trees have been planted to improve the landscape, reduce air pollution, and enhance the quality of the working environment for employees.
