This is a truly special event, held in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day (September 2), and the Traditional Day of the People’s Public Security Force.

At the press conference announcing the nationwide walking program “Together, Vietnam Moves Ahead” on the afternoon of August 11, Mr. Lê Quốc Minh – Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhân Dân Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization, and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, shared: “Together, Vietnam Moves Ahead” is a community activity of unprecedented scale and significance, taking place at a pivotal moment when the country is entering a new phase of development alongside the restructuring of administrative units.

For the first time ever, a walking event will be held simultaneously across 34 provinces and cities, covering 3,321 communes, wards, and special administrative zones nationwide.

Notably, from 6:00 to 7:30 AM on August 16, 2025, participants across the country will proudly wear red shirts with a yellow star, all turning toward the historic Ba Dinh Square to witness the National Flag Raising Ceremony, sing the National Anthem together, and stride forward for a united, powerful, and sustainable Vietnam.

“Beyond improving public health, the program also contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions and promoting a green lifestyle,” Mr. Lê Quốc Minh emphasized, expressing his belief that with the strong participation of the Ministry of Public Security, the scale of the event will far exceed initial expectations.
