On the afternoon of June 13th, at Thống Nhất Park in Hanoi, GELEX Group officially launched “The Journey of Pride” – a virtual running event marking the start of celebrations for GELEX’s 35th anniversary (July 10, 1990 –  July 10, 2025).

The kick-off event brought together GELEX Group’s Executive Board, leadership from GELEX Electricity and GELEX Infrastructure, along with more than 150 employees from across the Group and its subsidiaries.

In his heartfelt remarks, Mr. Lê Tuấn Anh – Deputy CEO of GELEX Group – shared: “The 35-year journey of GELEX is one that every one of you here has helped shape. Thank you for spending this Friday afternoon – time you could have shared with family- here with us. I hope this run brings not just new memories, but also a moment to reflect on what we’ve built together over the past 35 years.”

After the opening ceremony, over 150 GELEX members filled the paths around Thống Nhất Island, kicking off the campaign with high spirits and strong strides.

“The Journey of Pride” will officially take place from July 1st to August 1st, 2025 via the Strava app. Each kilometer run by a GELEX employee is more than a step toward better health—it’s a contribution to something greater. All logged distances will help raise funds for the “Books for Children” initiative, supporting access to books and education for underprivileged children across Vietnam.

This milestone isn’t just about looking back-it’s about looking ahead with purpose. Alongside the virtual run, GELEX will host a series of meaningful internal and community activities, including:

  • “My GELEX, My Story” – A creative contest where employees share personal stories, reflections, and emotions through essays, poetry, or videos. Each submission adds a unique voice to the collective heartbeat of GELEX.
  • “One Vision, One Future” – A team challenge designed to generate ideas and foster collaboration that supports the future growth of GELEX Electricity.
  • “One Drop – One GELEX Heart” – A compassionate blood donation drive that reminds us: even the smallest act of giving can carry deep meaning. One drop can reflect the kindness of an entire community.

35 years is a legacy worth celebrating – but it’s also just the beginning. The first steps of this kick-off weren’t just symbolic—they were a quiet promise: GELEX will continue to move forward with resilience, unity, and ambition – step by step, together.
