GELEX Group’s project, “GELEX Compassion – Building Happiness for the Community,” has been honored in the Timely Project category at the 2025 Human Act Prize, recognizing initiatives that respond effectively to urgent societal needs and demonstrate a strong commitment to the community.
On the evening of December 16, the Human Act Prize 2025 Gala took place at Ho Guom Opera House, Hanoi, celebrating outstanding projects and initiatives that have inspired dedication, long-term commitment, and meaningful action toward a better future for all.
In the Timely Project category, the 2025 Human Act Prize honored three initiatives: the Hope School Project, the “Light for Learning” Program by the Hope Foundation, FPT Group, and “GELEX Compassion – Building Happiness for the Community” by GELEX Group. Each project reflects how timely action can bring hope, expand access to knowledge, and create lasting positive impact.

The project originated from an urgent reality: two of Vietnam’s leading medical units, the Stroke Center and Emergency Center A9 at Bach Mai Hospital, have long faced severe overcrowding and operational pressure. GELEX Group’s timely intervention has helped strengthen emergency care capacity, supporting thousands of patients each year in their fight for life.

The project was implemented in two phases. Phase 1 (September 2023 – May 2024): GELEX fully funded the renovation of the Stroke Center. The facility was newly constructed and expanded to three floors, with a total area of nearly 300 m², adding 10 modern hospital beds and significantly increasing the center’s capacity for stroke treatment.

Phase 2 (August 2024 – October 2024): GELEX continued its support by renovating Emergency Center A9 and expanding the Stroke Center’s infrastructure, with a total upgraded area of more than 8,000 m². Of this, approximately 6,000 m² was dedicated to Emergency Center A9, including 20 patient rooms, functional areas, and a fully integrated technical system covering lighting, ventilation, elevators, intensive care units, patient rooms, and corridors.

Following two major renovation phases, both Emergency Center A9 and the Stroke Center have been transformed with modern medical equipment, upgraded facilities, and clean, comfortable patient rooms. The project reflects GELEX’s aspiration to improve quality of life and provide greater peace of mind for the public by creating a more modern, dignified, and patient-centered treatment environment. At the same time, it offers a more positive and inspiring workplace for doctors and medical staff.
Representing the project on the event’s red carpet, Ms. Nguyen Hong Nhung, Director of Communications at GELEX Group, shared: “I am truly happy to be here today, among so many compassionate hearts. GELEX Group is very proud that this project has been recognized in the Timely Project category. Through this initiative, we hope to contribute to building the future of our country and the happiness of our communities.”
The Human Act Prize – Award for Community Action is a national annual award. In 2025, 27 projects were selected for the final round from a total of 160 submissions. Project representatives presented, debated, and engaged directly with the Jury Council to determine the most outstanding initiatives in each category, as well as the top honor of the year.
As part of the broader impact of this award, in November 2025, when severe flooding caused significant damage in Phu Yen Province, Rescue Team 116 (from the project “Humanity in the Waves” – Inspirational Project category) mobilized to support affected communities. GELEX Group promptly contributed VND 300 million, enabling the team to quickly purchase essential rescue and relief equipment.
This spirit of connection and shared action demonstrates how the Human Act Prize has opened a new journey, bringing compassionate hearts together and encouraging a collective commitment to meaningful actions for the community.
