GELEX is gradually building a learning ecosystem aligned with its 2030 strategy. Learning does not happen only in the classroom. It continues through everyday work, shared experiences and new ways of working that take shape over time.
Learning Goes Beyond the Classroom
GELEX is entering a new phase of development, as it works toward its 2030 goals. Achieving those goals will require new capabilities across the organization.
The challenge is not simply to attract talent or offer more training programs. It is to help the organization continue building new capabilities as work, technology and the business environment continue to change.
That is why GELEX is gradually building a learning ecosystem that brings together different ways of learning: classroom training, e-learning, coaching, hands-on experience and learning from leaders, managers and colleagues.

Each approach serves a different purpose, but they all share one goal: to put knowledge into practice and turn experience into capability. GELEX’s programs cover a range of needs, from onboarding, professional expertise and employee skills to leadership and management development. These include Mini MBA, Future Makers, GELEX Talent Leaders and GELEX Managers. The programs also address emerging needs across the organization, such as digital capabilities, technology adoption, innovative thinking and the ability to lead change.

From Learning to Applying
The value of a learning ecosystem is not measured by the number of programs it offers, but by how effectively people apply what they learn in their work.
In July 2026, GELEX partnered with NUS Business School to develop Future Makers 2026 for senior leaders across the organization. The program was designed not only to introduce participants to modern management thinking, but also to help them translate new knowledge into changes in how they lead and run their businesses.

Alongside in-person programs, GELEX is expanding its use of e-learning, giving employees greater flexibility in when and how they access learning materials. But the classroom is only the starting point. Knowledge becomes valuable when people bring it back to work, put it to the test, adapt it to real situations and refine their approach through experience.
Work Is Also Where Knowledge Is Created
At GELEX, learning is not a one-way process from instructor to participant. Knowledge also grows out of everyday work: solving a difficult problem, testing an approach that proves effective, drawing lessons from a project or sharing experience with colleagues.
These lessons become a resource for others, feeding into formal training programs as well as day-to-day collaboration. This approach is also gradually extending across functional areas. GELEX Group shares core management capabilities in areas such as digital transformation, risk management, corporate culture and communications. Member companies then apply and adapt these capabilities to their own operating contexts.
As these approaches are tested in practice, useful lessons can be refined, shared and added to the collective knowledge of the organization.

Learning, then, is not simply a journey from the classroom to the workplace. It becomes a continuous cycle: people learn, apply what they know, gain experience, share what works and develop new ways of doing things. As this cycle repeats across individuals and businesses, knowledge no longer rests with one person or stays within a single training program. It gradually becomes part of the organization’s capabilities.
It’s Not About More Training. It’s About Learning Faster
For GELEX, people are a long-term investment. Investing in people therefore means more than organizing additional training programs. It means creating an environment where learning is continuous, closely connected to everyday work and aligned with the organization’s development strategy. It also means making sure experience is passed on, effective practices are shared and new capabilities continue to emerge.
The goal of GELEX’s learning ecosystem is not to offer more courses, but to help the organization learn faster and work better. As individuals strengthen their capabilities, businesses learn from their own experience and knowledge is shared across the Group, GELEX can become more adaptable, operate more effectively and build a stronger foundation for delivering its 2030 strategy.
