The project aims to provide the best quality social housing and the most competitive prices in the social housing segment in Hanoi, offering the opportunity to realize the dream of “settling down to build a career” for over 3,900 individuals.

The CT3 area is part of the Thang Long Green City social housing project located in Kim Chung Urban Area (Dong Anh – Hanoi), covering a total area of nearly 3.7 hectares with four buildings. Within this area, CT3 consists of three buildings with a total floor area of approximately 109,000 square meters, rising 12 stories plus an attic.

The project, invested by a consortium of Hanoi Housing Development And Investment Corporation (Handico) and Viglacera Corporation – JSC, a member of GELEX Group, officially broke ground on the morning of March 3, 2025, with plans to be put into use by the fourth quarter of 2026.

Perspective of Thang Long Green Social Housing Project.

The project is designed by architects from Singapore, with each typical floor plan featuring two and three-bedroom apartments of various sizes. The apartments maximize natural light and efficient ventilation, helping to save energy and create spacious, comfortable living environments.

Notably, CT3 of Thang Long Green City boasts superior quality due to a comprehensive package of construction materials, produced by Viglacera using the most modern European technology, delivered directly to the construction site.

All three buildings are designed with underground parking levels and commercial service areas, as well as public spaces to accommodate daily life. Basic amenities such as a water pond, internal gardens, children’s playgrounds, badminton courts, and community activity rooms are thoughtfully arranged.

The investor announced that the selling price for the new social housing units is approximately 18.4 million VND per square meter (including 5% VAT and 2% maintenance fees). This price is considered the best in Hanoi at the moment, providing a housing ownership opportunity for a wide range of beneficiaries under the social housing policy in the city.

These are positive signals for the social housing market in Hanoi after a prolonged period without many new project implementations, especially as the price for commercial housing can reach up to 80 million VND per square meter.

Previously, the investor completed the social housing apartment building on lot CT4 in the fourth quarter of 2021. This building consists of 484 apartments, providing accommodation for over 1,500 people.

The project is located in a dynamically developing economic area of Hanoi, benefiting from a modern transportation system that allows quick connectivity to the city center and surrounding areas. This makes it easy for residents to access public amenities, healthcare services, education, and shopping centers, creating an ideal living environment for families.

According to the plan to develop 1 million social housing units by 2030, Hanoi aims to be the leading city in the country with 56,200 social housing units. However, over the past four years, the city has completed less than 21% of this target. Last year, only one social housing rental project was granted a construction permit in the capital.

The implementation of Thang Long Green City will not only provide quality housing ownership opportunities for residents but also play a crucial role in the Prime Minister’s program to develop 1 million social housing units, as well as help meet the targets for social housing construction and development set for 2025 by the Hanoi People’s Committee.

The partnership between Handico and Viglacera in executing this project underscores the corporate social responsibility of businesses towards the community and demonstrates their ability to implement social housing projects in general, while contributing to the sustainable development of the city.
