Graduation Ceremony of the Global Mini MBA Class in Ho Chi Minh City: Transforming Knowledge into Action
On April 27, the Global Mini MBA training program – Management Thinking for the Southern Region officially concluded, marking more than two months of dynamic and meaningful learning for the leadership and management teams of GELEX Group and its member companies.
The event was the presence of Mr. Nguyen Trong Hien – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Group, Mr. Le Tuan Anh – Deputy CEO of the Group, Mr. Nguyen Trong Trung – Deputy CEO of the Group, and Ms. Mai Thi Minh Thu – Director of Human Resources of the Group; Mr. Ho Quang Nhan, CEO of Vietnam Electric Cable Corporation – CADIVI; Mr. Pham Thanh Nghi, CEO of Electrical Equipment Joint Stock Company (THIBIDI) and CFT VINA COPPER CO., LTD.(CFT), along with the evaluation panel from the FSB Institute of Management & Technology, under FPT Group.
The course not only provided foundational knowledge in modern management but, more importantly, creates an environment of learning to practice, learning to transform. Each participant was trained in practical thinking through the application of knowledge to exercises and topics closely aligned with the operational and business context of their own units.

At the final presentation session, the participants were divided into four groups and presented four topics, including: Applying Lean in THIBIDI’s transformer production; Building an effective learning culture at CFT; Guiding CADIVI workers to optimize labor productivity; Marketing strategy for CADIVI to dominate the project channel market.
These were all heartfelt topics with high practical applicability. The groups delivered enthusiastic and compelling presentations, with clear and persuasive content, receiving valuable feedback and questions from the expert panel and the Group’s senior leadership.

As part of the program, speaker Dr. Phan Tat Thu – Chairman of KNV Company delivered deep insights on “Authentic Leadership,” introducing the AuLeads model – which blends Authentic Leadership and True Leadership, has been “adapted” to fit the digital era and the wave of AI transformation. These shares are inspirational and motivating. Managers and leaders not only need to be good at their profession, but also need to have integrity and influence, leading the organization with core values.
On behalf of the course participants, Mr. Pham Đang Trinh – Deputy CEO of THIBIDI – shared: “Thank you to GELEX Group for giving me and the 25 other participants the opportunity to learn and access new knowledge that helps us meet future job requirements, etc We will apply what we have learned and continue our learning journey in this new phase full of challenges, difficulties, and emerging trends.”

Mr. Nguyen Ho Le – Deputy Director of CADIVI Tan A Branch – Vietnam Electric Cable Corporation, also shared: “What impressed me most about this course was the teaching faculty, with their in-depth and especially practical lessons, they helped us solve many of the pressing issues at units.”

In conclusion, Mr. Le Tuan Anh – Deputy CEO of GELEX Group praised the efforts of all 26 participants throughout the course and their ability to apply knowledge to real work. “This is not the end, but the beginning of the journey for participants to become modern leaders and managers, contributing to building an efficient and sustainable GELEX,” he emphasized.
The Global Mini MBA in Ho Chi Minh City is the second course was held in Hanoi, aiming to unify management thinking across the Group’s entire system, It provides core management mindsets and awareness needed in the age of global integration.
The 30-session course was structured around seven key themes from leadership mindset, Human Resource Management 4.0, Building a sustainable corporate culture, to Change management, Partner relationship development, Marketing management, and Lean operations, etc it was designed with the core philosophy: learn to act, think to create, lead to transform.
The program also adopted flexible and creative learning methods such as Constructive Learning, 2C Game, the Hollywood Method, and practical Bootcamp models, which enhanced real-world applicability, fostered connection among participants, and delivered an exceptionally effective learning experience.
Attending the graduation ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa – CEO of FPT Group – highly praised GELEX’s core manufacturing capabilities, especially through recent challenges posed by U.S. countervailing duty policies. He expressed pride in GELEX as a corporation with strong manufacturing capacity. Enterprises like GELEX and FPT need to cooperate to create a Vietnamese business ecosystem, together raising the value and pride of Vietnam.

At the conclusion of the program, FSB Institute of Management & Technology awarded prizes to the groups with outstanding project presentations and also honored individuals with scholarships for their exceptional performance.
